We continue to honor the memory of Daniel Boone Area High School alumna and 1st Street veteran, Maddie Cunningham who wastragically killed at age 19. She had just completed her freshman year at Kutztown University. Maddie loved all aspects of the theater, from performing to building sets to selling concessions. She had such an incredible ability to talk to all ages and all people. She was the kind of person that made you feel heard. She always had a smile on her face. Her beautiful voice was heard in many productions here on stage and she spent countless hours backstage as well. We honor her legacy by designating our May production each season as the Maddie Cunningham Memorial Youth Production with part of the proceeds from the productions used to fund educational programs. Maddie wanted to be a special education teacher and the funds from the shows will help our theater create more inclusive programming. With last year’s proceeds from “Dear Edwina,” our theater hosted a Broadway Plus workshop with actress Zan Berube of the touring cast of SIX the musical for this cast. The cast had a blast learning vocal, dance and audition skills from a true theater professional.

Please know that all proceeds from the donation box, concessions, 50/50 raffle and basket raffle  will go to sponsor and continue on Maddie's legacy of learning and love of theater!
