Carter Sanderson (Nick) is honored to be back at ACTA and has enjoyed working with this cast and crew! Previous roles include Clue at ACTA and Arsenic and Old Lace at LAC. He is a UAB graduate and a member of First Baptist Trussville. Carter would like to thank his beautiful wife, Solana and their two-year-old daughter, Adalind, for their love, patience, and support! Mike DiLaura (Frank) is excited to be back for his second ACTA production. Mike was active in the River Region theatre community and was seen in Blythe Spirit, Bright Star, Oklahoma, Curious Savage, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamCoat. Locally he has been in Uh-Oh and Here Comes Christmas and The Coarse Acting Show.
Suellen Wilkins (Aida) is a Trussville native of Trussville who has been involved in ACTA since its inception and now serves as a Trustee on the Board of Directors. Adding to the many productions in her repertoire, she most recently directed ACTA's productions of Murder is a Game and Moon Over Buffalo, and appeared in LAC's Young Frankenstein, and ACTA's Curious Savage (Mrs. Paddy).
Shelby Taylor (Caitlin) Shelby is excited to make her ACTA debut. She has acted in local community theatre and college including Shrek (The Dragon), You Can't Take It With You (Reba), and Legally Blonde (Enid Hoops), as well as prop master, stage manager, sound operator, and assistant stage manager in many others. She is thankful to Shari, her amazing husband Zachary for his support, and her baby girl Olivier for not terrorizing her Papa too much while Mama was rehearsing.
Karen Lord (Emma) sang in her first ACTA production in 1992, Annie Get Your Gun. Since then, she has been involved in many ACTA shows. The last was Mornings at Seven in 2004. She is retired from the business world after various careers in customer service. Karen and her husband of 46 years, Bill, have 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren and one "on the way".
Kathryn Gilmer (Assistant Director/Stage Manager) has appeared in several previous ACTA productions, including The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon, Steel Magnolias, and The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, but this is her first time stepping into a directorial role. She would like to thank Shari, for giving her the opportunity, and this very talented cast for all of their hard work, both on and off stage.
Steven Ross (Nunzio) is making his ACTA debut, but he has been involved in Birmingham Theatre for 25 years. He is reviving the role of Nick after playing it in 2006 at Birminham Festival Theatre. Other roles include The Odd Couple (male and female versions), Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, Amost Maine (Danny), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Theseus). He has many other behind-the-scene talents including lighting and sound design and photography.
