A Note From the Executive Director
I am proud of this production of School House Rock Live, Jr. It has been a collaborative effort to create all of the elements that went into it. The children in this production worked hard to learn lines, music and choreography. They worked together to learn performance skills and developed friendships.
ACT relies on the ability of talented individuals to work together for the good of the children and for the good of the show.
It has been quite a journey to arrive at this place from our humble beginnings almost 30 years ago. Now we have our own studio and more opportunities to engage children in performing arts. In our coming season, we plan to increase our course offerings and produce four main-stage plays at The Historic Rio Grande Theatre and at least 3 student-produced short films.
I would like to extend my gratitude to all who helped to make this season a success. Pinky Kingsley, Eileen Gilbert, Sue Rexroth, Karen Paulson, Jazmin Buchman, Luis Castro, Jenna Guitar, Mike Derr, Bianca Castro, our parents, and our Board of Directors.
