    James Ball is thrilled to be in his 15th year of teaching theatre and choir here at Mingus. He received his degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and has enjoyed transforming ATORT from a small program to a state recognized theatrical department. He would like to thank Carla, Stephen, Audrey, Angelica, and Amy for always taking this crazy ride together. He hopes you enjoy the story as this is one of his personal favorites!

    Audrey Young is excited to be finishing out her first year at Mingus with such a touching and enlightening show as Big Fish: The Musical. She graduated with a Theatre degree from Northern Arizona University and has worked with Arizona Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Emerson Theater Collaborative, Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, and Red Earth Theatre as an actor. Audrey has been recognized for her skill set in scenic painting by the Desert State section of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology and received the Northern Arizona Emerging Artist Award in 2020 for acting. She would like to thank James for allowing her the opportunity to assistant direct and for believing in her this whole school year.

    Costume Designer

    Lydia Collins is a senior, but not at Mingus High...she’s a senior in “LIFE”! Lydia has thoroughly enjoyed being the costume designer and creator for the ATORT shows, including Christmas Carol, Newsies, Shakespeare In Love, Cash on Delivery, Addams Family, Spelling Bee, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Although Big Fish will be a BIG challenge, Lydia is super excited about it; she and her costume crew have BIG hopes for ATORT’s Big Fish.
