AOLP Theatre Program Mission Statement (draft)

            The Academy of Our Lady of Peace theatre department continually seeks to inspire students to “cultivate creative abilities through artistically enriching opportunities for self-expression” (OLP ESLRs). As education increasingly puts an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math, we cannot forget the importance of the arts. Theatre allows students to develop skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and leadership with their study of performance, history, literature, and technical theatre, while guided by the CSJ charisms of “gentleness, peace, and joy.”
