Derrek Koch
as Charles Condomine
Derrek is thrilled to be making his first stage appearance as Charles Condomine. Originally from Lakeview, Oregon, Derrek moved to Jacksonville this year. His acting experience includes a couple high school plays and more recently improv comedy classes at First Coast Comedy. Derrek would like to thank his family and friends for their support and the wonderful cast and crew of Blithe Spirit for such a fun and unforgettable experience.

Shannen Murray
as Ruth Condomine
Shannen is overjoyed to play Ruth in Blithe Spirit—her first lead role! After a long break from theatre, she’s thrilled to reconnect with her passion for performance and storytelling. A theatre minor at the University of Florida, Shannen focused on improv and stand-up comedy, skills which continue to bring joy and spontaneity to her work on stage, in life, and in the classroom as a teacher. Her most memorable high school role was Auntie Em in The Wizard of Oz, and she’s delighted to now step into Ruth’s witty, grounded shoes. Being part of this production has been incredibly fun and fulfilling. Shannen is grateful to share the stage with such a talented cast and sends heartfelt thanks to her husband for his never-ending support and encouragement, and for always bringing joy to her life. She’s also deeply appreciative of her incredible friends for their constant laughter, love, and presence—even through the not-so-funny moments.

Marilyn Painter
as Elvira Condomine
Marilyn’s been in Three’s a Family, Charley’s Aunt, Coney Island Christmas, The Odd Couple, Play On, Southern Fried Nuptials, Mary Poppins, Four Old Broads, and Bright Star. She’s grateful to Act II Players and this amazing, talented cast and creative team. A writing professor at FSCJ, in the little time left from grading papers, Marilyn enjoys friends, yoga, and dancing.
