A Midsummer Night's Dream - May 22

ActingUp4Christ

 Notes from the Director

The Mechanicals are tasked with presenting a play of sorts to the Duke of Athens – a judge of the high courts. For these aspiring actors, the play was truly their Opus. Despite the criticism of those considered “better” than them, the Mechanicals do not allow themselves to be dismayed by the criticism of others, they just enjoy the moment of their sheer joy in the opportunity of performing for the Duke.

What if we could come to our Lord and Savior with the same attitude as the Mechanicals?   What if we were not ashamed to give Him OUR personal best, even if it did not measure up to “others” standards, judgment or criticism? What if we were not afraid to face the Lord, our imperfections and all?  Imagine if we all saw ourselves, not as a reflection of what is in the mirror, or as others saw us, but as a refection of Christ.

This has been an amazing year and I am blessed with students, their parents, staff and volunteers and a loving family whole all love me despite my many imperfections. I am so grateful and thankful to all of them. It would not have come together if not for the actions of so many tirelessly giving their time to make this their Opus.

Thank you for coming to the show and being a part of

A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

All For His Glory,
Rosemary Giordano
