Agape Theater Company's Mission

The Agape Theater Company is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization created in 2016 to meet the educational needs of performers who want rigorous training in a welcoming, faith-based atmosphere.

From Shakespeare to Gilbert and Sullivan or Sondheim, our professional quality productions receive rave reviews and delight audiences. Performers of all experience levels are welcome to audition. We will help you take your skills to the next level of excellence!

Our founder, Dr. Kathy Phipps, brings forty years of experience as a Theater Educator to our productions. Agape Theater Company is an educational company committed to helping performers grow onstage and offstage. We create beautiful productions that are good family entertainment in a faith-based environment. Our training helps actors, singers, and dancers strengthen their performing arts skills while reinforcing confidence, teamwork, diligence, and community.

"Agape" stems from the root word for sacrificial love. From the love of our craft to the harmony flowing in the performers, families, and volunteers involved, Christian love is at the base of everything we do. Supported by prayer, we work to create an atmosphere of love.
