 PRODUCTION STAFF

STEFANIE GROSSMANN (Director) is the technology teacher at Alexandria Township School.  She grew up in a very musical household, taking piano, clarinet, voice, and dance lessons. Stefanie was introduced to the world of musical theatre in 2006 and has been involved with productions ever since, from performing on stage or in the pit, to stage managing, to directing. She has been part of the ATS Drama Club creative team for 9 productions, and Seussical Jr. marks her third as director. She's honored to work with Heather, Kasey, Kelsey, David, Dakota, and Jocelyn in this incredible creative team and lucky to share the magic of theatre with her students. Enjoy the show!

HEATHER FLEISCHMAN (Assistant Director/Choreographer) is a graduate of DeSales University with a BA in Dance and a teaching degree from Rutgers University. Seussical Jr. marks Heather's second show with ATS, with Legally Blonde Jr. being her first. Heather is also the Dance Teacher at Del Val, teaching Introduction to Dance, Commercial Dance, and Unified Dance. You may have seen her choreography most recently at Del Val’s production of Newsies, which is marked as her fourteenth theatre production at DVRHS. She is proud to be part of a creative and collaborative artistic team at ATS. A special thanks to Ms. Grossmann for her exceptional direction. Working alongside her, it's clear she's dedicated countless hours to ensuring this production, and all those before it, are memorable experiences for her students and the community. She is thrilled to collaborate again with the talented Dakota Krouse and Jocelyn Denné. Their invaluable creativity and contributions to the dances are greatly appreciated. Heather extends her heartfelt gratitude to her parents for their unwavering support and sends love to Kenny & Fergus.

KASEY SEMANCHIK (Production Manager) is happy to once again be a part of the ATS Drama Club production team. In the past Coach S has had the opportunity to work with a few performances at North Hunterdon High School as a theatrical stage combat trainer. Last year, she officially joined the Drama club for the first time as Set Designer & Stage Crew Advisor. Good luck to the cast & crew! “Step with care and great tact, and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act.”

KELSEY NEMETH (Set Designer) is a new art teacher at Alexandria Township School, but she's no stranger to teaching, with five years of experience. She earned her BFA from Long Island University in 2017 and will graduate with her Masters in Art Education from the Art of Education University in May. She's excited to lead set design for Seussical, bringing her passion for creativity to the school stage.

DAVID HASON (Vocal Coach) graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Music, concentration in Vocal Performance, in 1997. Since then, David has held many professional vocal positions, including Old Bethpage Village Restoration Singers, Catholic Cantor, and Church Choir Section Leader. David also regularly performs as the vocalist for weddings and funerals. After moving to Hunterdon County in 2007, David found a hobby in Barbershop singing.  He competed with two quartets, reaching top 10 in the Mid Atlantic District, and has competed with The Hunterdon Harmonizers and the top 10 International chorus, Voices of Gotham, based out of NYC. David is happy to share his love of singing for the second year with his daughter, Sage, his son, Zachary, and the entire Seussical Jr. cast.

DAKOTA KROUSE (Assistant Choreographer) is a Senior at Del Val. You may have just seen him as Jack Kelly in Newsies on the Del Val stage. He wouldn't miss the chance to return and assist the ATS Drama Club, where his love of theater started! He extends his gratitude to the directors for making this show possible, especially Ms. Grossmann, for offering him the opportunity to contribute these past 3 years and for supporting him throughout his journey from middle school onward. He also expresses appreciation to Mrs. Fleischman, whose ongoing training and encouragement have propelled Dakota toward becoming a better performer, teacher, and individual. Dakota wants to thank everyone who supports him in pursuing his love for theater. He sincerely hopes you enjoy Seussical Jr.

JOCELYN DENNÉ (Assistant Choreographer) is a vibrant addition to the ATS musical production team. Her previous performances on the Del Val stage, including her roles as a Lost Boy in Peter Pan, the enchanting Ballerina Ancestor and The Moon in The Addams Family, and most recently as Tommy Boy in Del Val’s production of Newsies, have showcased her versatility and talent. With an impressive 14 years of dance experience, including 11 years on the competitive stage at Broadway Bound Dance Center in Lebanon, NJ, Jocelyn brings a unique blend of skill and expertise to the whimsical world of Seussical. She is deeply grateful to Ms. Grossmann and Ms. Fleischman, as well as Dakota Krouse, for this exciting opportunity. Jocelyn also commends the entire cast and crew for their dedication to creating an unforgettable musical experience in Seussical Jr!
