Machinal is a powerful expressionist drama by Sophie Treadwell that follows a young woman rebellion against her societal role. The play is based on the 1927 murder trial of Ruth Snyder and Judd Gray. It explores the development of society and the fight for women's freedom.
AUDITION INFO:
Please prepare a monologue written after 1900 of 1-2 minutes. There are numerous roles in the play, both small and large, so anyone who is interested is welcome to audition!
