FROM THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR...
On behalf of ALLEMAN HIGH SCHOOL, I wish to welcome you to this performance of the iconic musical, GREASE. This performance signifies yet another of the fine shows that have graced the stage here at Alleman and created a proving ground for the talents of such fine and dedicated students.
It is our wish that you enjoy not only the production, but the atmosphere of the 1950's. It is with great pride that we create a flashback to the memories of that era with its great music, along with the characters so familiar to GREASE. Imagine yourself on the high school campus in the late 1950's, with those familiar teachers we all remember (and feared), the brainy students, the zealous cheerleaders, and the clique of students that stood out on their own.
An era of innocence and rebellion that brought us to the beginning of television, the Mickey Mouse Club, Hoola Hoops and Leave it to Beaver. As you relive the memories or experience them for the first time, we hope it brings a smile or laughter your way.
Please take time to notice in the program the names of the many volunteers and support staff who give so much time, energy, and talent but are not seen on stage. Their assistance in invaluable.
It has been a distinct honor to work with such a talented and creative staff and these amazing students of Alleman. It is through their energy that this show comes to life.
