A note from the director:
I am so proud of this year's musical production. The quality of the cast, stage ninjas, and committees have blown me away this year. Every single person that helped out with the play truly put their heart into their work and it shows!
A successful production however, involves more than what is presented on stage. It should not only be a learning experience, but a personal one as well. I was especially proud of the cooperation, respect, teamwork, and comradery that the cast demonstrated during the production stage of this musical. These students discovered that no matter what their part was on or off the stage, they were critical to making tonight's performance a success.
Renee Rogers, Lisa Hansen, and Lisa Schilling are a HUGE asset to this production tonight. They put in countless hours and stay after school to help with every rehearsal. Without these ladies we would never be able to put on this production of Annie. I would like to send a huge thank-you out to them!
To my departing fifth graders: It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know each of you as individuals and to watch you grow as actors and individuals over the last three years in our school plays. Each one of you is extremely talented and have a bright future in theater as you continue on to middle school. You are the ones that have set the standard for what Antioch Musicals can be and it is a mighty high standard. I will miss everyone of you and look forward to seeing where your talents take you!
To my Third and Fourth graders: I have so enjoyed getting to learn about each of you outside of class and seeing how much raw talent we have in our upcoming years at Antioch. You are a very talented group of kids and have jumped up to take every challenge we could throw at you this year. I look forward to working with you in future years!
I can't wait to see how amazing you perform tonight.
