    Jim Dooley

    Producer / Composer / Lyricist

    Jim Dooley is an Emmy Award-winning composer & songwriter with a diverse repertoire spanning the film, television, video, gaming, and live theatrical industries. Earning accolades for his solo work as well as collaborations with many top names in music including Hans Zimmer, Tarja, and Babyface.

    Projects for DreamWorks include Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Madagascar, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Academy Award-winning Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and, Operation Got Your 6 featuring First Lady Michelle Obama and the Penguins of Madagascar.

    In Television Dooley has written original music for Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, FX’s Wilfred, and ABC’s critically acclaimed series Pushing Daisies, for which Dooley earned a 2008 Primetime Emmy Award for Best Original Music Composition for a Series. In film Dooley composed Screen Gems’ thriller Obsessed and the remake of the cult-classic-thriller When a Stranger Calls.

    Delighted to work with this cast and crew she directed Hollywood Fringe award winning musical Gunfight at the Not-So-OK Saloon and nominated for a Robby. Making her entertainment career as an actor, singer, DJ, producer, and director in improv, talk radio, advertising, feature films and MPTF, Entertainment Industry’s Charity (MPTF.com) creating a platform for co-generational connection and expression producing/directing live fundraising events and the Instant Film Festival. In Chicago, she is a founder of The Playground Co-op Improv and the Chicago Improv Festival Education Manager and sung Jazz weekly at a supper club. Singing continues with the Harvard Yardbirds, the Harvard Alumni a capella group, an exception to the rule as they needed a soprano. Thank you to fiancé/fellow creative, Edgar Pablos, family, friends, and MPTF colleagues. Special congratulations to Jim Dooley on a musical triumph and thanks to him and Annie Perkins for bringing me in on the fun.

    Mark was born in Atlanta, studied theatre at the University of North Alabama, and has been calling Los Angeles home for almost twenty years now, where he’s worked in comedy. He became a fixture at the Comedy Store in 2018, performing regularly until the pandemic brought everything to a halt. This fall, Mark will begin production on his pilot project, TIP, all while working on his first novel, Macy and the Two Dragons. And next spring, he’ll be marrying his love and longtime partner, Katie. Mark is repped by Bohemia Group.
