The Wiz - March 28

Arab Musical Theatre

 NOTES

From the Director

On behalf of Arab Musical Theatre, we would like to thank you all for joining us as we close out our high school season with this spectacular new production of the Tony-winning sensation, THE WIZ! It has been 120 years since L. Frank Baum’s Dorothy and friends took their first steps down that yellow brick road, and in that time, their story has been told and retold in every way imaginable: from the stage, to comic books, to movie musicals, and more! And now, it is our pleasure to allow them to return once more to the Arab stage!

A Word of Thanks

Producing a musical requires a great deal of commitment, time and support under the most ideal circumstances. The year 2020 has brought about many changes, but it is heartening to know that art will always endure. We are thankful for all those who offer guidance, assistance, and encouragement through challenging times.

Firstly, we would like to recognize this season's presenting sponsor, Redstone Federal Credit Union. Their continuing generosity is at the heart of Arab Musical Theatre and we are very grateful for their support. We would like to extend special thanks to The Arab Musical Theatre Committee, who remain the true source of our strength and success. This group of incredibly devoted volunteers works continuously for many months prior to and following each production. Their work ensures that our students will have these unforgettable experiences. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with them.  Thank you!

Producing a musical requires a great deal of commitment, time, and support.  We are thankful for all those who offer guidance and assistance during the planning and performance of our shows. Thanks to Superintendent Johnny Berry, Arab High School Principal John Ingram and the entire Arab City Schools Board of Education for their continued support of the program.
