I’m so excited about the Arms Wide Open (AWO) production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"!  My team, our cast and I have worked hard dedicated for the past eight months to bring you this amazing show.  This is the first time we've performed a musical with no dialogue scenes and almost no blackouts. I knew it would be a challenge, but we were able to build something very special. The cast has far surpassed my expectations.  It has been a joy seeing their growth and watching this show come to life.

In 2008, we started AWO as one small dance class, with about 10 kids enrolled.  When I step back and look at what it has become today, I'm overwhelmed with happiness. It’s hard to believe it has already been 10 years since my family and I created this program.

It has been my privilege and honor to direct 14 shows with AWO since it began.  This has gone beyond my wildest dreams.  It has changed many lives and led to the formation of many wonderful relationships.  It has brought me so much happiness and fulfillment. I’m forever grateful to the Lord for the position He has placed me in. I give all glory to Him!

It takes a lot of people and much hard work to bring a show like this to life.  I’d like to take a moment to thank some people who have helped make this show happen.

To my cast: you guys did it!  Thank you for seizing the day!  You truly rose to the challenge.  You have given it your all, even when it wasn't easy.

Thank you to my artistic team: Elizabeth Hambrick, Nancy Rubio, Emily Wolford, Cherish Clarkson and Alyssa Haugum. You guys were so much fun to work with!  Thank you for your patience, dedication and professionalism, and thank you for pouring your creativity and talents into Arms Wide Open. You have made this show so special and have given the cast the tools they need to pull off this huge production. We did it!

To my onstage helpers: thank you for sacrificing your personal time to make this show great!

To my creative tech design team: thank you for making my vision come to life and taking my sensitivity to detail and quality in stride.  You guys have been so great!

To my production team: I can’t thank you enough for helping to make this show incredible. A special thanks to Patti Long who is the best costumer in theatre, hands down!

To my stage manager, Keith Spencer, and stage crew: you guys are awesome to work with!

To my cast facilitator, Temre Phipps: thank you for your immeasurable contributions.  Your patience and unwavering support are critical to our success!

Thanks to my incredible family for their love, support and many sacrifices. I love you all!

Without further ado, let's raise the curtain--it's showtime!
