Plot Summary
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the story of the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, king of Athens, and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. It follows the lovers Hermia and Lysander as they attempt to elope but are dogged by Demetrius, in love with Hermia, and Helena, in love with Demetrius. Parallel is the story of Titania and Oberon, monarchs of the forest, who are embroiled in their own fight. Puck, their fairy jester, functions as a liaison between the two parties, as Oberon orders him to use a love potion to make Demetrius fall in love with Helena. Oberon’s plan backfires, and it is Puck’s duty to right his wrong.

Note from the Director
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of my all time favorite comedies filled with outlandish characters, magic, love and playfulness. My wish is for you to be completely enraptured with the 3 stories, our forest (now turned TV land) and the fun fickleness of these teenagers in love. I want to thank my father for influencing me with the music and tales of his teenage years through the 1950s that will surely emerge throughout this production. May your night be filled with love potion #9 as you witness Shakespeare twisted in a whole new light.
To the Seniors who have helped me continue to build this amazing program, I owe you so much and wish you the best in your adventures ahead. Thank you for sharing your countless hours, energy and boundless creativity. Keep breaking legs and making AHS Theatre proud.
