Anything Goes (Beaumont 1987) - March 08 - March 10, 2019

Atlantic HS

 End Notes

"Friendship," what a perfect word to describe directing this show!  It has been so much fun working with all these students on this production.  We have had many laughs throughout our rehearsals.  My hope is that through this production students have created some long lasting memories and relationships with other members of the cast, crew, and pit.

This winter was not very kind to us when trying to have rehearsals, but when we could have them everyone was ready to dig in and give it their all.  Everyone pushed each other to be better with positive, moral support. Kind of like how Reno does with Billy in "You're the Top."

None of this production could have been possible without the support of several adult volunteers.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my assistant Cindy Nichols.  She was a great help with conducting the musical pit, running singing rehearsals, and giving great ideas on how we could improve the show week to week.

Next, I would like to thank the amazingly talented Pat Wiederien.   Pat is retiring this year, and I don't know what I will do without her.  Not only is she an outstanding artist, but has become a great friend.  Whenever I bring her an idea of what I want the set to look like she never hesitates.  She always takes the ideas and makes it better than I could even imagine.   I wish Pat Wiederien all the best in retirement!  I WILL MISS YOU!  WE ALL WILL!

Roger Warne.  I can't thank him and the 2nd-hour woodworking class enough for their work on building the ship!  When approaching Roger about how I could build the ship with my musical cast, he didn't hesitate to say that he could have some of his industrial tech students build the ship.  The ship is amazing!!!

Finally, I would like to thank Heather McKay, Andy Mitchell, Cathy Knuth, Amber Jipsen, Danna Saeugling, Nathan Renz, Arnie Lamp, Rich Smith, Kent Ehle, Joy Tunnicliff, Mallory Kirchhoff, Michella Bartholomew, Harrison Richter, Cami Nelson, Angie and Clint Weppler, and Pam Auerbach.  All were great at assisting in helping with moving things, giving helpful tips, or helping with choreography.  Thank you so much!  It really takes a village to help put a musical on!
