Welcome to our production of Spongebob: The Musical! Our students have worked incredibly hard on this show, and we hope you enjoy it.
Producing any musical is a huge feat, but putting on a show of this size requires many people coming together to provide the best possible experience for our students. There are many people I need to thank for their hard work and dedication to this show:
- Jarrod O’Donnell, for first bringing this show to my attention last year and for providing me with many artistic ideas that have come alive in this show. You rehearse and conduct the pit, run rehearsals when I can’t be there, and let me sit on the couch in your office during lunch even if I make a mess. Thank you for everything.
- Mark Andersen, for his ingenious design and construction of the set you see on stage. It is always fun seeing your designs come to life; this year was no exception.
- Becca Jackson-York, for your guidance, connections, and choreography. Getting to work with you on this show was a treat, and it would not have been possible without you and your wisdom.
- Leah Skorupa-Mezger, for your amazing talent of making these wacky characters come to life on stage. Your flexibility and willingness to help us at the last minute pull together costumes is truly appreciated.
- To the Atlantic Community Schools Foundation for once again providing the music department with the financial assistance to pay for the royalties to this musical.
- Finally, to the kids: thank you for always being such a fun, hard-working group of kids to work with. This musical has been a blast to work on together, and I’m always amazed by your talent. I’m lucky to be your director.
