Director:  Melanie Brown

Melanie has had 30 years’ experience in working with and teaching children. This is the 8th show she has directed for AACT. She serves on the AACT Board of Directors as the Education Chair. In this capacity, she coordinates and helps teach the AACT Academy Classes, Summer Intensive and Musical Theater camp. She has been teaching the ACT I classes since 2009. She is passionate about the power of using theater as a tool to teach life skills to these young and talented actors. She enjoys doing theater outreach in the community and has been teaching a weekly theater class at the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama. When not doing something for the theater, Melanie can be found working in the yard, or taking care of her family.
