Kenneth Ansloan
as Cal Porter
Ken is thrilled to be playing the role of Cal in "Mothers and Sons" by Terrence McNally, who happens to be one of his favorite playwrights! Ken (aka Tequila Mockingbyrd) and his partner Matt (the late, great Geneva Convention) are the founders of The Dolls, Albuquerque's famous theatre troupe. Since then, he has written over sixty original productions. Ken has played Joan Crawford numerous times in their "Joan and Marilyn" Christmas extravaganzas and just recently wrote a play, "The Gospel According to Joan" that paid homage to the actress. Other favorite roles include "Auntie Mame", Angela Arden/Barbara Arden in "Die! Mommie! Die!", Gem in "Albuqueque", Christine Penmark in "The Bad Seed", Lady Bracknel in "The Importance of Being Earnest" and Pandora in "Christmas at the Yucca Vista" here at the Aux Dog Theatre. Just recently he directed "The Mystery of Irma Vep". He is very excited about his upcoming play, "Angels of Light - The Story of The Cockettes" in May (Aux Dog).

AJ Carian
as Will Ogden
A.J. Carian was born and raised in Albuquerque. As a boy, he was obsessed with My Little Ponies, cryptids, ghosts, UFOs, aliens, animals, Nature, Star Wars and everything Disney. He still is as as a man. Sadly, however, all his original ponies and Star Wars figures are no longer with him. While attending Albuquerque Academy, he got into acting. He enjoyed theatre there, in a private acting class taught by Molli Benson, and later at the University of California, Los Angeles. For over a dirty dozen years, A.J. has proudly played with The Dolls, Albuquerque’s beloved and besieged drag troupe founded by Ken Ansloan and Matt Bubb. Some of his other favorite stage experiences were in “Betty’s Summer Vacation” and “Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You,” both by Christopher Durang and directed by John Hardman. A.J. is always happy he has wonderful family and friends, even when they are being bitchy.
