Richard Breen: Acting/Dialect Coach After 15 years of performing in regional theatre, commercials, and 6 national tours, he returned to Averett where he has shared his passion for theatre as a professor, for the past 30years.  He has directed more than 40 productions here as well as performing in some as well. For this show, he enjoyed working as the Director/Dialect Coach, and is excited to see the final product.  Working with these students on this production has been such a pleasure . He wants to thank the production team for their work and guidance.

Lastly, he would like to thank his family, Marion, Hannah, and Nicholas for their constant support.

Isaiah Reed

as Ladahlord

Isaiah Reed is a Junior, majoring in theatre (directing). Isaiah's most notable roles are Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Christopher Boone in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. With this experience, and a role that fits him like a glove, he's excited to cook up a kooky and spooky performance in James and the Giant Peach (that flies)!

Matthew Smith

as James

Matthew Smith is a sophomore Theatre Education major, his previous roles include Bottom in a Midsummer Night's Dream, Meanie Jim in June B. Jones is not a Crook, Roger in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, and Josh in 9 to 5: The musical. He is supper excited about playing James in this show.
