Mary Poppins - November 21 - November 24, 2024

Azle High School

 Note from the Director

Thank you for joining us!

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to return to my Alma Mater as a teacher and director, it is a pleasure to share the magic of live theatre with students in the same place I fell in love with the art myself.

Theatre inherently is a collaborative art form, it truly takes a village. From building and painting set pieces and props, programming lights, creating sounds, sewing costumes, designing posters and T-Shirts, learning lines, studying characters, and much much more. None of these things would be possible without the hard work and dedication of the students on and off the stage, their families, our volunteers,

our Booster Club, and the support of the rest of the AHS staff.

I would like to thank Superintendent Todd Smith, the Azle ISD School Board, Mr. Nate Driver, and Mr. David Wright for understanding how important and influential the fine arts are to students. Thank you for believing in me and this department.

Thank you to my Drama Boosters who organized fundraisers, collected donations, sold ads, and tickets, and provided snacks and meals for the students during long rehearsals.

Of course, I need to thank the students, thank you all for collaborating with me on this production on and off the stage. I also want to congratulate you, I hope you will look back on this experience fondly and be proud of what you created and the story you told.

Thank you to my parents, Paul and Lisa Crabtree for supporting me and my theatrical dreams. Thank you for the years of driving me to and from rehearsals and watching all of my shows.

Last but not least, thank YOU - the audience - for supporting live theatre and the young artists of our community.

Enjoy the show!
