    Staff Biographies 

 

Colin Keating (Executive Producer/Musical Director) Mr. Keating has led the charge for more than 20 musical productions for the Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program.  He is the director of Baker High School's Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. In addition he teaches voice lessons and Music Theory. Keating received a Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music in Music Education from the Setnor School of Music at Syracuse University where he studied voice, conducting, vocal jazz and musical theater. Mr. Keating is an active freelance pianist and guest conductor in the Central New York region.  He is proud to serve the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild as Artistic Director where he has won multiple Syracuse Area Live Theater (SALT) Awards for directing and music directing.  During the summers, he is the Music Supervisor and Box Office Manager at the Weathervane Theatre in Northern New Hampshire, a professional summer stock theater located in the White Mountains. Mr. Keating has been honored with multiple nominations for Best Professional Music Director for the New Hampshire Theatre Awards, a title which he won in 2009 (Sweeney Todd) and 2014 (Memphis).  

 

Tom Minardi (Director) taught English and stage production for thirty years in the Liverpool School District.  While at Liverpool, he also directed over fifty plays and musicals and was a founding teacher of the curricular Performing Arts program. He is also a member of the Liverpool High School Fine Arts Hall of Fame. He served as Acting Coach for B’ville’s productions of Sweeney Todd and 42nd Street and directed 9 to 5, Little Shop of Horrors, Seussical The Musical, White Christmas, Peter Pan, Shrek, Cinderella, and Dream is a Wish.  In addition to his work with Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program, he directed three Baker Drama Club productions, A Company of Wayward Saints, in 2012, and two dinner theater productions, Princess Grace of Knockerdown and Café Murder. He is honored to have been chosen to direct this production of Mary Poppins and thanks each and every member of the staff, crew and cast. A special thank you goes out to Mr. Keating for presenting the opportunity to be part of this terrific experience. The camaraderie and professionalism of the staff complement the enthusiasm and talent of the cast, making this a very rewarding endeavor. 

 

Brittany O’Reilly (Producer/Website Design) is grateful to be working on her 9th production with the Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program. She is a general music and choral teacher at McNamara Elementary, performs as a Cantor locally, and is an internationally certified Irish dance instructor (T.C.R.G). Ms. O’Reilly holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Masters in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music. Local theater credits include BTG’s Assassins (Ensemble), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Choreographer), and Peter and the Starcatcher (Producer/Choreographer). She wishes congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and production team!

 

Lauren Hopkins (Stage Manager) has enjoyed her fourth year working with the Baldwinsville Theater Arts Program. She teaches 8th and 9th grade English at Durgee Jr. High and when she is not working with BTAP, she also stage manages productions for the Baldwinsville Theater Guild. She has most recently completed runs of Always...Patsy Cline and Moana Jr. Miss Hopkins would like to congratulate the cast and crew on putting together such a fantastic show!
