Dona has been performing since childhood, and recently retired from 27 years of teaching HS Theatre in Texas. Bountiful marks her debut on the BOH stage. She would like to thank her Brit Stephen, sons Dominic and Dakota, D’s gf Bianca, Bro John and her friends for their love and support. She dedicates Mother Watts to her Mom, Hazel and Dad, Don.

Derek Byzinski
as Ludie Watts
Derek grew up in New Jersey and moved to Austin a year ago from Charleston, SC. His most recent roles include Jesse Kiplinger in Plaza Suite at the Georgetown Palace Theatre and Jamie in Now and Then at WayOff Broadway in Leander, TX. This is his first show at the Bastrop Opera house and he is thrilled to be working with this wonderful cast and director.

Christine Long
as Jessie Mae Watts
Christine grew up across the street from a community theatre and began performing and working backstage at an early age. She earned her BFA and MA in Directing from Texas State University-San Marcos, where she had the opportunity to study abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company. After 15 years, she is excited to be back on stage at Bastrop Opera House.

as Thelma
She fell in love with theatre as a teenager, and dabbles in writing her own screenplays. She volunteers at her church, and tends to the growing farm animals her family has. Her husband and children are a huge support to her, and together plan on building their own Skoolie! She credits the Lord for her blessings, and is thankful and humbled for this opportunity.

Ky Hote
as Ticket Man #1
Ky first performed at the Bastrop Opera House in Hello My Baby! He is a singer/songwriter with a degree in Music Composition and has a traditional music band, The Roxlovians. He is known for shows in Austin including George Harrison Tributes and the Underground Kerrville Revue. Lately he spends much of his time with his partner Anne raising 2 cats.
