Les Misérables School Edition - December 01 - December 03, 2017

Bay City Central High School

 End Notes

Hopes and dreams. Love and redemption. Passion and sacrifice. These themes are masterfully manifested in Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s timeless musical interpretation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Les Misérables. They also transcend the confines of these characters, this story, and this music. They escape the walls of this auditorium and are experienced in life. The production you’re about to see is the culmination of 70 students who have felt and understood these themes. It brings us no greater pleasure than being in a position to provide these students with the opportunity to enjoy the arts and the theatre as an outlet for these themes. We want nothing more than for these students to always have the opportunity to revel in the arts. Our young performers have sacrificed their time as they pursue their hopes and dreams. Our tech crew have made equal sacrifices and their talents often go unnoticed, but are essential to the production. For so many of these students, there is no greater love than the theatre. It is their niche, their place in the world. The passion evoked in each performance indicates this. This is the impact the arts can have, and it extends to so many individuals. We cannot thank you enough for coming to support the arts and we sincerely hope you enjoy the Bay City Public Schools production of Les Misérables: School Edition.
