WHO'S WHO

 

JOSE LUIS PEREZ JR. (Fr. Gabriel & Jono) is a Mexican-Puerto Rican actor with roots in ensemble theater and independent film. He returns to the stage in Bethesda Rep’s powerful production of My Brother’s Keeper. Stage credits include Between Us by Joe Hortua, Cutting Open Wings by Lydia Ramirez, and Anatol Vs. by L. Flint Esquerra, all produced by The MET Theater Company in Los Angeles. On screen, he has appeared in Take Me Home (dir. Sam Jaeger) and American Zombie (dir. Grace Lee). Following this production, he will relocate to France while continuing to work internationally across stage and screen.

 

VICTOR PARRA (Abel) is originally from Chula Vista, CA and attained a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Cal Poly Humboldt as well as a Master’s from the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio. Credits include: Hamlet in Hamlet, Cousin Julio in The MotherF*** With The Hat, Nicky in Avenue Q, Templeton in Charlotte’s Web, Pablo in Native Gardens and Quetzalcoatl in Mictlán. Victor expresses his immense gratitude to the Bethesda Repertory Theatre team and Boston Court Pasadena. ARNALDO ANDRÉS (David) born and raised in Puerto Rico, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rider University in 2018 with a degree in Acting. He holds two Master's degrees: one in Screen Acting from Oklahoma City University and another in Film: Science Fiction and Fantasy from Richmond: The American International University in London. His acting credits include Inherit the WindHairsprayFlea in Her EarInto the Woods, and New York Comedy Sketch. Arnaldo is excited and proud to return to My Brother’s Keeper.

 

MANUEL FUERTE (Standby for David) is a queer latinx actor/singer born and raised in the Central Coast of California. He is a graduate of PCPA ‘23 and now currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Some of his credits includes: Bernardo; West Side Story, Teddy Roosevelt; Arsenic and Old Lace, Abelardos Father/Curtis; Mother Road, Mateo Campos (US); American Mariachi, Zanie/Ensemble; R&H Cinderella, Big Bad Wolf; Shrek The Musical, George Deever; All My Sons and “B”; Sanctuary City. LUIS GALILEI (Standby for Fr. Gabriel & Jono) is a New York native Latino actor, stand-up comedian & filmmaker. He began his artistic journey in stand-up comedy bringing him to acting where he began studying the Lee Strasberg Method with Tony Greco in NYC. His first short film Hand Me Downs is a study on the passing down of toxic masculinity from generation to generation. Now, in LA he continues to chase his dreams of being on big stages in all his artistic endeavors.

 

MICHAEL GOMEZ (Standby for Abel) is a New York native and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He is a proud founding Company member and currently serves as the Managing Director of Bethesda Repertory Theatre. His recent Bethesda appearances have been in An Evening With Company and The Rhythm of Mourning, which he also co-wrote. At South Coast Repertory, he appeared in Our TownI Get Restless, and the NewSCRipts reading of The Hombres by Tony Meneses. Michael performed the solo play I Died Today at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and also created the original YouTube series Rollups. An actor, writer, producer and director, Michael has a passion for storytelling, particularly about the LGBTQ+ experience, as well as advocating the push for more diversity, equity and inclusion in these spaces.
