Almost, Maine - February 11 - February 13, 2021

Biloxi High School

 End Notes

From the Director

"Almost, Maine" is one of the most produced plays for high schools across America.  With it's quaint characters, creative scene work, and opportunities to create art on a dime, educators and performers fall in love with the show time and again.  I chose this show initially because it lends itself to socially distanced rehearsals where we could work through covid protocols and still produce a fantastic play.  Through this process I have been reminded of why I fell in love with the show in the first place: truth, love, and the realness of the fictional characters.

This cast has brought the characters to life in a way that makes me so proud of the performers and characters, and I truly hope you get to fall in love with them just as we have.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never ends.

To my cast and crew: thank you for your dedication to the show.  We took what SHOULD have been 3 WEEKS of rehearsals and shoved it into just 3 rehearsals, and you made it happen.  From quarantine to drops to broken casters and crazy lights - we learned "The Show Must Go On."  Love endures all things.

And now, to my seniors...

Pete and Ginette, I am so proud of you.  Your designs, your creations, your scenes...all make this show what it is.  I could not have done it without you.  Love Bears All Things.

Hope and Glory, you never cease to amaze me.  You took on the extra role with only a week to learn it, and here you are, East to West making magic on the stage once again.  Love Hopes All Things.

Sandrine, I'm so glad you got found...and found a home with TTP.  Your smile and laughter brighten the stage.  Love Believes All Things.

Chad and Randy, four years have FLOWN by and I absolutely can not believe you're seniors.  Thank you is all I can say - for your patience, for sharing your talents with me, and for believing in our program.  Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs.

Marci and Marvalyn, your friendship inspires me.  YOU inspire me.  Even when you roll your eyes at me, I know you'll still do whatever I ask.  I am so thankful for you and for your talents. I only wish we had more time.  Love Is Kind.

Daniel Harding, who is going to run all the erands climb all the things when you leave?  Thank you for never saying no and always being willing to do whatever it takes.  Love Is Patient.

Jasmin, Morgyn, and Annah, techies are the backbone of any show, and I am so thankful I have the dream team behind me!  From figuring out the sound system to navigating the new light board to teaching freshman how we do all the things...you have kept the show running for years, and we are grateful for all of the hours and work put in behind the scenes.  Love Is Not Self Seeking.
