Peter and the Starcatcher - November 07 - November 09, 2019

Bishop Kenny High School

 End Notes

From the Director

As I entered this school year, I took a moment to look at the upcoming theatre season and ask myself one very important question: "Are you crazy?!"

All jokes aside, this year we embark on the grandest adventure this program has ever seen; so, with that spirit in mind, it's only fitting we begin with Peter and the Starcatcher.

A few years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Peter and the Starcatcher on Broadway with my wife. After the first five minutes, I was hooked (no pun intended). This show has the ability to make you feel like a kid again. You are transported into a world where your imagination can run free. It is because of all of this that I am so excited to be able to put this show on for you tonight. The students and crew have worked so hard to transport you into the world of the show. I could not be more proud of this group of students and the evolution this program has gone through over the last five years. My hope, as you watch, is that you allow yourself to become that kid again who would go on adventures in your backyard, see a great book played out in your mind as you read, or wished you could fly!

None of this would be possible without the hard working team of people who make it happen. I would like to thank Jeanie Wilks, Collin Clark, and May Hotard for the countless hours of rehearsal, building the playbill, and bringing the stage to life. I would also like to thank the administration and the boosters for their continuous support and Tim Yocum for his help in the sound booth. Thank you all for coming tonight and enjoy the show!
