Gregory Cicchino                                     Director

 

We are proud to welcome back award winning NYC director Greg to our holiday production.  Greg is an Associate member of the SDC and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University where he worked closely with Syracuse Stage. Greg has been involved in commercial and non-profit theater at every level; assisting prominent directors such as Lonny Price (Candide) and Stafford Arima (Alter Boyz-NYMF).  As a director, Greg has taken several shows through the reading and workshop stages into full development including the New York Fringe Festival musical The Unusual Suspects, which was one of Backstage magazine’s Picks of the Fringe. Other favorite credits include Largo Desolato (Abingdon Theater), Crazy Gary's Mobile Disco (The TANK) and Into the Woods (Montclair State University). Recent credits include Talk Radio (Variations Theater Group), One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest (Variations Theater Group) and The Pillowman (The Chain Theatre - *Queens Kudos award winner for best director). Last years Bloomfield production of It's A Wonderful Life was his first adaptation, and the regional premiere, which was also produced in New York City last year.

This year's production of A Christmas Carol,  continues our annual holiday event. The committee worked long and hard to bring this dream to fruition. Kudos to committee heads Kathy Conradt, Martha Rayburn Powers, Ann LaRue, Pat Overmoyer, Bonnie Stauffer, Laurie Newell, Travis Piper and Ralph Brandt, as well as to the entire membership for their enthusiasm and support.

Truly the "go to guy" for this entire production.  What ever was neded, Travis found a way!  "Rube Goldberg" comes to Travis for help!
