Beetlejuice Jr. is an exhilarating journey through the supernatural with the infamous, irreverent Beetlejuice leading the charge. Our production is filled with vibrant characters, wild humor, and moments of real heart—reminding us that life, death, and everything in between is about embracing who you are, no matter how strange or unusual. And while it may have ghosts, ghouls, and one very mischievous Beetlejuice, at its core, this show is about finding your voice and your place in the world.
What’s especially remarkable about this production is that it’s being brought to life by a group of talented high school students who’ve embraced the chaos and fun of this production. They’ve worked so hard to bring these larger-than-life characters to the stage, and I’m incredibly proud of their dedication, creativity, and teamwork. Each performer has brought their own unique energy to the role, and I can honestly say I’ve been amazed by their growth over the course of this process.
A special thank you to Mr. McQuigg and the Administrative Staff here at Boiling Springs High School. Mr. Lance Radford, our District 2 Superintendent, and the entire District 2 Community. To Mr. Shaun McMahon who made many trips to Lowe's so that the wonderful set you see would be made possible. To Dr. Carrie Ponder at Chapman High School for letting us borrow some of the set pieces from her theatre program. To the parents for letting me keep your children for many hours. Lastly, to my cast and crew - thank you for your patience, your time and your talent.
We are so excited to share our hardwork with each of you.
Enjoy your ride to the otherside!
With gratitude,
Elizabeth Fortenberry
