The drives to Mother McAuley High School everyday of the summer for five years so I could do their community theater shows were long,  but not once did she complain.

The second grade class needed someone to do costumes for Annie so she was the first to volunteer even though she didn’t sew.

The Junior High needed furniture for the 8the grade show so she made sure my dad donated a full living room to achieve the perfect set.

And now, thirty years later, she hasn’t missed a show I have directed or that my kids have been in, traveling from Chicago every single time. She hasn’t even missed a tech week or any event having to do with Braver Players. This Wonder Woman, is my mom Eileen, or “Ma” in these parts.

I dedicate this show to my mom and all the moms in the audience that give selflessly everyday to help their kids achieve their dreams.

My mom always persisted in her pursuit to get me to do “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” because it has always been her favorite show as she grew up seeing it countless times.

I hope this production does you proud. This one’s for you, Mom. I love you.

Yours,

Chelsea
