I feel blessed and honored to be the director of the show Mamma Mia. Having a child in this senior class has put me close to these students for many years and I have seen them grow and mature. Having also been involved in the Bridgeport High School theater program and Thespian Troupe for the past 6 years, I have had the opportunity to see them develop their talents. This class will always have a special place in my heart. I am proud to have had the opportunity to direct this brilliant cast and work with such an amazing creative team. I would like to thank all the students involved in this production for their hard work and dedication. In addition to my cast, I want to thank my stage manager, Madyia, my student directors, Wesley and Hannah, my student music director, Owen, my assistant choreographer, Shelby, my costume designer, Bethany and my prop master, Ethan. You have all worked so many hours with so much dedication and perseverance. You are all beautiful souls. I want to thank the parents of our cast and crew for their support and for sharing their students with me. Thank you to the wonderful parents that organized so many things, Anita Cottrill, Julie Kennedy-Rea, Jen Hess, Lorna Hutcheson, and Julie Fulks, you have been invaluable to the BHS Theater program these past years and I don’t know what we will do without you. I want to say thank you to Joshua Stubbs for incredible music direction, to Alicia Kinsey for creative and amazing choreography, to Troy Snyder and Tuesdee Long for our beautiful set, to Brian Cottrill for designing sound, and to Courtney Rankin for our lovely poster design. Thank you to the BHS administration and all of the BHS teachers for your love and support. Most of all I want to thank Jared St. Martin Brown for having faith enough to Take a Chance on Me as the director of Mamma Mia! I hope that you all enjoy this show as much as I have in putting it together.
