Director's Note

This year picking the play was extremely difficult.

With continued pandemic concerns, what would be the right choice? How can we stage this production? Will people attend? Working from home last year like the rest of New Yorkers, I began sifting through all the plays I had at home and found this charming and entertainiong play For Heaven’s Sake, a play that reminded me of a movie from long ago starring Warren Beatty, Heaven Can Wait.

Still unsure, we started rehearsing. This brilliant cast and crew has made this production experience so rewarding and entertaining. They are full of life, ideas, dedication, and talent.

We all know the ups and downs in this current school year, especially in NYC.  However, it is these shining stars both on stage and on the crew who make every moment worthwhile. My stage manager and assistant director Cliff Stern has been stellar and beyond out of this world. Thank you so much, Cliff!

Both Cliff and Matthew Bieniek saved the productions last year when we did three one act plays in the pandemic and met with more success than I could have imagined. We may be "Tech," but the arts continues to be alive here at our school with innovative, creative, imaginative, and talented artists and technicians.

So sit back and enjoy as a slightly confused angel helps a nerdy teen find love in romance.
