A Christmas Carol - December 08 - December 10, 2022

Bunnell High School

 End Notes

Dear Students, Families, and Friends,

This is the first time I have found myself in a theater director’s chair. I am very thankful to have been hired as the Choral & Theater Arts Director starting this past August. These students have not had the chance to put on a production since the fall of 2019. COVID-19 unfortunately devastated the arts all around the country and in our communities. I am proud that we have grown a strong cast and crew who were committed to putting on a show.

Bunnell High School S.T.A.G.E. is very proud to present Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol as our fall play. The cast and crew are primarily made up of students that have never been a part of a show before. The production staff, cast, crew, and our many alumni volunteers have worked tirelessly to bring this story to life during this holiday season. If you are new to our audience, we welcome you and invite you to help support this program in any way that you can. Thank you to the families that supported the production and their students in this busy process.

I would like to personally recognize the support of the administration: Dr. Graf, Mr. Koch, Mr. Ramos, and Mr. Tatto. They have been a constant support system for the program in the last couple of months. To secretarial staff, Marlana Sabia and Pattie Darragh for helping me along the way to make sure this show could be a success.

Thank you to Superintendent, Dr. Osunde, Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Gejda, and the Stratford Board of Education for their contributions and continued support. To Dr. Aimee Boyle, the new Coordinator of Fine Arts for the district, who always lent a hand when needed.

Along with them, the art department helped paint the set and posters for advertising on the green in town. Thank you to all of the student organizations and teachers that have helped with selling tickets, being ushers, and helping to promote the show.

I appreciate all of the alumni and friends of the program such as Damien Soler, Kevin Vrabel, Barry Libowitz, Chris Sinise, Huy Trung Huong, and the folks at Horizon Sound who helped build the set and tech the show, a major job in making this production possible. Lastly, a huge thank you to my co-director Mitchell Weinbaum (Bunnell Class of 2013) who did so much work behind the scenes. Without him, the show would not be where it is today.

Thank you for your support of Bunnell S.T.A.G.E. We are very grateful you are here and hope you come back out for our spring musical May 18-20th! Please enjoy the show and we hope that it helps bring some holiday spirit to you and your family!

Sincerely,

Clare Callahan
