Poe - October 22 - October 30, 2021

Burlington County Footlighters

 Who's Who

Bob Beaucheane (David Poe / Orderly) is thrilled to be back working with Alice again. She is the one director that always seems to bring Bob out from the tech side of productions and back on to the stage. His last few roles were all under her leadership as director, including Dr. Cook in Dr. Cook’s Garden at Bridge Players and John Brennan in Coyote On A Fence, right here at BC Footlighters 2nd Stage. It’s also fantastic to be working with his wife Regina as AD/SM. Thanks to a great cast and crew for making this production so much fun and to Lou for writing such a compelling play.

Jeff Cleve (Dr. Moran / John Allan / Man) This is Jeff's 2nd Halloween in a row performing at BCF's outdoor stage. This may become an annual event. Jeff has also performed at Haddonfield's Play and at Mt. Holly's Mill Race Theatrical Company. He also works as a professional actor with Riddlesbrood Turing Theatre Company and The Pirates of Fortunes Folly. Jeff also has his own puppet theatre company called Pineland Puppets.

Alex Davis (Elmira Royster / Jane Locke) is so excited to be back after a near-two-year-forced hiatus (ya know - because of all of the… unpleasantness). Most recent BCF credits include Jackie Noelle, Disaster; Elaine Harper, Arsenic and Old Lace; and Stella Kowalski, A Streetcar Named Desire. She also directed the 2018 production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Alex sends thanks to Alice, Regina, and the rest of the incredible production team; Lou for the lovely script; the cast for keeping it light while dealing with the gloom; her family; and, most importantly, to Matt for being awesome always.

Paul Esmond (Young Edgar Allan Poe) is making his Footlighters debut. He previously performed as Elvis Presley in a lip sync contest at summer camp. Paul is in 5th grade at St. Joan of Arc School in Marlton. He lives with his parents and his two cats, Alice and Momo.

Susan Fowler (Elizabeth Poe) has been performing in local & regional theaters in NJ/NY/PA for over 30 years. Susan was seen last at Burlington County Footlighters nearly 15 years ago, as the Marquise de Merteuil in Les Liaisons Dangereuse, and is thrilled to be back for this enthralling world premiere of Poe! Susan enjoys performing in both musicals and dramatic or comedic plays. Favorite musical roles include My Favorite Year (Belle), Into the Woods (The Witch), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Mrs. Meers), The Boy From Oz (Marion Woolnough), Kiss Me Kate(Lilli Kate), Forum (Domina), Shrek (Wicked Witch/Blind Mouse), and Sunday In The Park (Old Lady). Other favored dramatic/comedic roles include Twelfth Night (Maria), August: Osage County (Barbara), Night of the Iguana (Maxine), Lend Me A Tenor (Maria),The Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), Richard III (Elizabeth), Twelfth Night (Olivia), A Midsummer's Night Dream (Titania), Macbeth (Witch #2), Lady Windermere’s Fan (Mrs. Erlynne) and Lovers & Executioners (Julie/ Frederick). Susan is looking forward to roles in the new year, as Regan in King Lear in June ’22 at ActorsNET, and Laura in Meteor Shower at Langhorne Players, (timing to be determined) ‘22. Both roles are in beautiful Bucks County, where Susan lives and is an Executive Recruiter by day.

Jessi Meisel (Inspector O'Connor, Orderly, Man) is exhilarated to make their BCF debut with Poe. You may have seen their face around Bridge Players Theatre Company as they have directed, choreographed, and been in many shows with them. They would like to thank their family and friends for putting up with them! To the cast and crew, "From childhood’s hour I have not been as others were..." so thank you for taking a chance on them!

Mike Muller (Edgar Allan Poe) is thrilled to be back on the BCF stage. His recent shows here have included The Explorers' Club, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. He was on the outside stage previously for Herlock Sholmes and Frankenstein. He's blessed to be working with such a captivating script and such an immensely talented group of actors and directors. He'd love to give a huge thanks to his mom and dad, as well as his wife, Becca, and son, Luke, for being the inspiration behind his pursuit of art.
