Fundraising Opportunties!
Producing a show like this is no small feat. It takes patience, time, hard work, teamwork, trust, and sometimes quite a bit of money. If you would like to help, one of our fundraisers is #2000Snowflakes. At the Box Office Desk you will find snowflakes that you can buy for $1 each. You can put your name on it and show your support! We want to have 2,000 snowflakes all over the Center by the show's close!
Want another way to help? Have spare change you'd like to donate? Well ask your favorite cast member about our Penny Wars! The entire cast and crew has been selected to either #TeamOlaf or #TeamSven. Add points for your cast member by putting pennies into their team's jar and silver coins in the other team's jar to have it count against them. Who doesn't love a little friendly competition!
Last but not least, we have our 50/50 Jackpot raffle!! You could win a huge amount of money, tickets to a future show, or even a free 1 year membership to the CNY Comunity Arts Center. Tickets are available at the Box Office Desk. They are $5 each and will be drawn at our annual meeting on July 30th!
We are also accepting bottles and cans!! We have an account open at Randee's Redemption at the 3 Rivers Plaza in Phoenix. Let them know that you would like to donate your bottles and cans to the CNY Community Arts Center's Production of Frozen Jr!
Director's Notes
Well it's been 2 years but we finally did it! We are finally able to present Frozen Jr! I started this project back in 2019. I wanted to direct a show that emphasised love, hope, healing, and relationships. Of course I didn't know it at the time but COVID was right around the corner and unexpectedly (and sometimes sadly) taught us those very things. Although the new disease raveged our community, I also think it brought us all closer together. I truly think we have all come out on the other side for the better. We may have lost loved ones along the way, but I really think it helped us to love, heal, and have hope. But we were able to start again. This is also true for our production. Again with planning, meetings, auditions, casting, and rehearsing. A little different this time around but the themes remain the same. I hope with this show, you will see that being different is not a bad thing. It makes you special. I want you to remember that there is always hope. Build strong, beautiful relationships. And above it all, there is love.
Thank you to everyone who made this show a success. It takes a village and I certainly could not have done it without my friends and family! I love you all!
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the show!
I would also like to thank everyone I have had the honor of working with at the CNY Community Arts Center over the past 10 years. I have been able to watch many kids grow up right before my eyes and become more confident, more themselves, learn, participate, make friends and family, become leaders, and become successful in their own right. They have taught me just as much as I taught them. I hope that in the past 10 years I have been able to make a difference to all the youth I've taught and that they take wonderful memories, skills, friendships, and lessons with them for the rest of their lives. It's been truly an amazing experience and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. Support live theatre and your community, be safe make, make right choices. Whatever the future brings, may it be filled with love and light.
Thank you
Adam Schmidtmann
