A Note From Your Directors...
Let’s start at the very beginning…(a very good place to start!)
As a kid, the 1965 film rendition of The Sound of Music was a staple in the Sinclair house. It didn’t take many watches, (though they still happen annually); the show became a fast favorite of mine and helped me fall in love with the musical theatre genre. When the opportunity arose to bring live theatre back to Capac after our pandemic pause, the prospect of working on this show was thrilling and exciting — a dream come true.
It takes more than dreams to get a show like this off the ground. Months of intensive rehearsal, set building, and detail-oriented work are required to make this work possible, let alone successful. It is the hard work and commitment of our cast, crew, orchestra, and volunteers to which we owe the success of this show. From auditions to the final curtain call, it has been a joy to work with you.Your directors offer you our sincerest gratitude. We are so proud of this show, and we hope you share in that pride with us. You made this happen.
In addition, we want to acknowledge and thank the Capac Community Schools Board of Education, Administration, Faculty, and Staff for their support of performing arts in our district. All of you play important roles in the lives of our students, and we are your proud partners in the task and joy of education.
We want to thank our families, significant others, children, and close friends for their love, patience, and support in this wonderful, yet consuming process. While we have loved every minute, we will be eager to be present again for evenings, dinners, bedtimes, and routines once more!
Finally, we thank you — our wonderful Capac community — for coming to this performance. We exist because of you, and are so thankful for your support of our students and programs. THANK YOU ALL for helping us bring live theatre performance back to Capac.
