Clue: On Stage - November 20 - November 22, 2019

  DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Who doesn’t love Clue?!  I grew up watching Tim Curry run around on screen in the spooky mansion, transfixed by the cast’s comedic timing, the jokes that would sometimes fly over my head, and the costumes. When I first started teaching theatre and directing, one of the first things I did when I was looking for a comedic straight play was look into doing Clue.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t licensed as a stage play at that time.  Every couple of years I would check to see if something had changed, until I basically gave up.  Then last spring, my Assistant Director, Maddy Cole, aka all-knowing play and musical guru, mentioned to me that Clue was finally adapted and licensed as a play!  I immediately applied for the rights, got them, and the rest is history.  We have had a hilariously good time, as you can imagine, producing this show, and we’ve wasted a lot of rehearsal time laughing at inside jokes until tears streamed from our eyes and our sides hurt.  I’m going to miss this show….SO much…flames on the side my face…breathing…heaving breaths…. :)   Anyway, thank you for coming tonight, and we hope you enjoy this show as much as we’ve enjoyed producing it.
