This cast is a group of amazing, YOUNG, and new-to-theatre students. Each week we have watched them learn and grow into their roles. For most of this cast, it is either their first time onstage, or their first time stepping into a lead role, and that can be a terrifying thing. We are so grateful for these kids and their willingness to jump into something new!
In addition, we put a lot of newwork onto our backstage crew that we have not been able to in past years. They stepped up and created most of the props and set and have been at every rehearsal since day one. We are so thankful for their hard work!
I want to thank my partners-in-crime Jennifer Burke and Maria Jessup. They have done so much to inspire, teach, and grow the students, and they have also been able to keep my head on my shoulders, which is not as easy of a task as it looks! I owe the success of the show largely to them.
Additionally, Lauren Gulbrandsen has stepped into the role of parent coordinator and without her help we would all ahve lost our heads. You are such a help and we have loved working with you!
I also would like to thank the CES 95 School Board and administration for supporting us through the entire process. I would never have been able to give the students this opportunity without them.
I also need to thank my biggest supporters, my husband Gavin, and my kids Lily, Michael, and Luke. They sacrifice so much family time so we can pull off the shows and I am so thankful for them!
Lastly, and most importantly, I need to thank my CES 95 parents. From helping bring in snacks, to building the set and props, to the numerous trips to CMS and back each week, theatre is a commitment, and a much bigger commitment than it seems when you first look at it. Thank you for sharing your children with me. It has been an honor and a blessing.
