The Addams Family - April 26 - April 28, 2024

Cario Middle School

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

If you were lucky enough to experience it, everyone has a memory of being in "The School play"! It may be a fond memory or not but each of us lucky enough to even know the mixture of fear and elation of stepping out onto a stage, in a costume, with lights for the first time will remember it forEVER!

The Cario Theatre Club has met consistently after school every week (and lately, twice or three times per week) throughout the year, building the strong ensemble of highly talented and motivated actors and backstage crews that you will see (or not - for backstage crews) during this performance and this production marks the culmination of all the hard work by these students in their own time!

Middle School is tough for everyone but especially for students who have to find their way through their personal dilemmas as well as through the ever present new and challenging academic material and the expectations of making the Honor Roll and staying there for the duration.

Enter "Theatre".  I have always believed that "Theatre is for Everyone" and this idea is bourne out by the number of students who consistently attended Theatre Club for the first time and who are working in or on their very first production which will probably not be their last!

With thanks to our Award winning Principal, Mr. Bryan Coleman for his tireless support of Theatre in our school and who challeged his staff to find a way to bring a first class "Middle School Experience" to Cario, we are able to bring the magic of the Theatre to our Cario community helping enhance the Middle School student experience.

Every one of our students are now a part of something that they will never forget while also meeting and making new friends along the way.  They engaged in this production helping to make their Middle School Experience a little brighter and their memories a little more meaningful because everyone deserves a chance to step out into the spotlight and make a memory.

Thank you for your interest in and support of our production of The Addams Family, and for taking the time out of your busy schedule to attend our performances.  We appreciate your time and hope you will thoroughly enjoy what is about to unfold.

It's a great show!
