I am incredibly honored to serve as the director of Casa Grande Parks & Recreation Youth Theatre’s production of Disney’s Newsies Jr. Every production here continues to remind me how powerful theatre is in shaping young performers as artists, collaborators, and leaders.
Our cast rehearses four days a week for three hours a day in an intensive summer workshop. Their dedication is inspiring. From accents and athletic choreography to stage combat and emotionally driven music, “Newsies Jr” asked our cast to stretch their skills while building confidence and storytelling ability.
I am deeply grateful to our staff for their tireless work, to our volunteers, families, and friends who bring costumes, sets, and props to life, and to Casa Grande Parks & Recreation for their essential support in making this program possible.
