Director's Notes
Thank you for coming to see our production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Originally a children's story written by famed James Bond creator Ian Flemming based on stories he used to tell his infant son, it was made most famous by the 1968 movie production starring Dick Van Dyke containing music by the Sherman Brothers of Mary Poppins fame.
A theatre adaptation premiered in 2002 at the London Palladium followed by a 2005 Broadway production which is the one you will see this evening.
Our volunteer cast and crew have worked very hard over the last six months to create this great production with all its sets, props, songs and dances.
Our hope is that our efforts have paid off to present to you an enjoyable experience that strengthens the bonds of our community.
