ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Sabrina Bowmer has been teaching elementary music for 17 years. She started her career in 2008 at Simmons Elementary in Woodford County where she taught for 13 years. This is her 4th year at Cassidy and Finding Nemo is her 3rd full blown musical; she has LOVED learning along with the kids! She obtained her bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Kentucky. While she was teaching full time, she obtained her masters in Music Education and another masters in School Counseling both from the University of the Cumberlands. She lives in Lexington with her husband, John Bowmer, who is a band director at Jessie Clark Middle School and Lafayette High School, and their 2 children, Jonah (11) and Kathryn (8) who go to Clays Mill Elementary. Her favorite things are playing clarinet, reading and playing with her kids!
