This year, Mr. Andersen, Mrs. Colter, and I decided we would embark on a bigger journey than we had ever done by producing a musical that is not a Junior Version. We wanted something that would showcase many different students in roles. This show, as usual, has been a labor of love and respect for our students. As always, the students rose to the task of creating this show every day. We appreciate all the help we have received this year from our student volunteers who toiled behind the scenes as well.
And in our CGMSC village, we had terrific adult suport as well. First, thank you to Mrs. Julie Lawson, our assistant principal, Ashley Todd, our dean of students, and to Mr. Craig Smith, our proud principal emeritus, for all the support you have given along the way. Additionally, thank you to Mrs. Nikki Eckerty, our principal's secretary, for all your help with our finances and ordering, Mr. Jamie Wingler, our Athletic Director, for helping us maintain order in the gym, and Courtney Montgomery for making our money work for us!
We have a terrific group of parents this year. Mr. Lambrou, who created our incredible spell book, Mr. May, Mr. Groeper, Mr. Casper, Mrs. Pulla, Mrs. Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Torrance, Mr. and Mrs. Rose, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Lambert, Mr. Dice, Mr. Boyce, Mr. Painter, and countless others. They spent hours helping build our improved stairs, putting up the LED Screen, painting, and providing materials.
Roy T. Bennett quoted, "Always remember people who have helped you along the way, and don't forget to lift someone up." As you leave the show, please remember to lift up your students for their hard work and completion of a very daunting task of performing in front of others, or if they are crew members, for supporting the production behind the scenes and making the stage and behind the scenes look fantastic. This show shows that we are truly better together, and the way we do that is by loving each other.
With much appreciation,
Jen Pugh, Dan Andersen, and Erica Colter
