**Co-Director’s Note:**
Welcome to "Lost Girl" by Kimberly Bellflower.
As a first-time director, this production holds a special place in my heart, and I’m excited to share it with you. Working with these talented students has been an incredible experience, and I’ve been consistently amazed by their professionalism, dedication, and growth throughout this journey. From day one, they have poured their hearts and souls into this play, bringing a raw honesty to the stage that has truly elevated the entire production.
We chose "Lost Girl" because of its powerful exploration of grief, healing, and personal identity, especially through the lens of first love. Wendy Darling’s story reflects the difficult yet universal journey of losing someone you love and trying to rebuild yourself in the aftermath. This play showcases the strength it takes to navigate the depths of heartbreak and the courage it takes to come out on the other side. It’s a story that reminds us that no matter how broken we feel, there will always be power in finding ourselves again.
These students have brought an immense level of maturity to the telling of this sensitive story, and I could not be more proud of the work they’ve done. I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Stephanie Likes for giving me the opportunity to work with such an incredible group of young artists on my directorial debut and for being there to guide and encourage me every step of the way.
Thank you for joining us on this final leg of the journey. I hope the story of "Lost Girl" resonates with you and changes you as deeply as it has with all of us.
With love and gratitude,
Nat Coe
