The CSPA Musical Department would like to take this opportunity to thank some
wonderful people that have helped us to pull off what seemed to be impossible this year. For the First Time in Forever, it seemed we would not be able to put on a musical show due to the pandemic. Thanks to the tireless hours put forth by our incredible directors, Dina Barnaby and Jason Penner, we were able to! We can’t thank you enough for your vision and dedication to finding a way for us to do what we love, sing and dance on the stage.
Along with our fearless leaders, our dedicated volunteers worked their magic to make our production come to life. These volunteers worked tirelessly, creating sets and costumes (including masks we could actually sing in), creating ways to interact with 6 foot distancing while still getting the magic of the story across. The hours of teaching us dance numbers and then reteaching us to ensure that 6 feet of distance at all times. All of your time and dedication to us is truly appreciated! Thank you Kate Mazzara, Christine LaPeer, Melanie Walls, Mindy Peterson-Schoeberlein, Grace Meinke, Crystal Gibbons and Melissa Marcum.
Next we would like to thank Lauren Florida, Jamison Jakubowski, Sam Mazzara and Madisyn Schroeder for helping us with our mics, sets, props and all the other magical jobs that happen behind the scenes on the stage. We would also like to thank the parent volunteers that we had the privilege of working with backstage, helping us keep costumes where they are supposed to be and getting us on stage, on time. We would be remiss if we did not thank the Brighton Center for Performing Arts for allowing us to use their incredible theater. We do hope to partner with them again in the future.
Lastly, to our Founders, Chuck and Shelley Stockwell and the CSA District Administration and Staff. Love is an Open Door and you all show us that love every year by supporting our beautiful Performing Arts Program! Our show would not be possible without you all and we thank you!
