A Note from the Director….

My seniors….where does the time go? We’ve been through Canaan Days, a newspaper strike, a wedding on a Greek island, the Renaissance, we’ve graduated Harvard Law, dodged a killer plant, we saved Bikini Bottom from destruction, the genie from the lamp, the princess from the castle and the Puffs from distinction. 

We did much more than that and while we did it, we cheered for each other’s wins and navigated our way through the losses and now we stand onstage all together, of all colors shapes and sizes just as Tracy Turnblad wanted. We dance are hearts out, we sing, we act, we play and we look around and see for better or worse, our friends who have been along side us for the past four years and that is what matters. It’s not how big the part or the person. It’s not the color of the costume or our skin, it’s just us, the people who chose every day to keep coming back and sharing the stage with each other to learn about our lives and the lives of others in history or in fictional lands and we learned to love. And if we learned from Hairspray, we learned that Without Love, life’s like rock ‘n’ roll without a drummer and I have learned that without YOU the stage is going to be a lot less brighter.

And so one last role call…
