Mr. Plummer is excited to be returning to his high school alma mater (Class of 2009) for his 4th production as director and 13th as the production designer of the annual Chi Hi Musical. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire where he received a B.A. in Comprehensive Theatre Arts with a double emphasis in Performance and Theatre for Youth / Education and he holds a Master’s Level Certification in Musical Theatre & Contemporary Music Vocal Pedagogy from New York Vocal Coaching in New York City. His directing work has been seen all over the country, with favorite experiences being his time with the Missoula Children’s Theatre and the Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre. In 2015, he founded Stage Door Unlocked - an online actor training and resource company that currently works with acting and teaching clients in over 35 states and 12 countries. His actor coaching clients can be seen on regional, national tour, and Broadway stages, as well as featured in projects on Netflix, Lifetime, Disney+ and in national commercials. He is also a frequent clinician and adjudicator for the Wisconsin School Music Association, Wisconsin Theatre Festival, as well as at various schools and other organizations around the country. In 2020 he became a resident production consultant and blogger for Grosh Backdrops and Drapery, writing articles about directing and creating theatre in schools and community theatres. Mr. Plummer is a proud member of the Musical Theatre Educators Alliance, the Voice Foundation, and the Society of Directors and Choreographers - the national director’s union.
