    Sound

Jeff Varner, has been the Sound and Technology Guy since the new auditorium was built. During the day he is a farmer and rancher. He has been involved in theatre since he was a student at Circle. Jeff enjoys working with the cast to see them grow from a freshman to a senior. His favorite moments are when ‘The Lion’ in The Wizard of Oz (2001) forgot his lines and said, ‘I think I will sing now,’ and winning a Jester Award for the All Shook Up (2008) sound production. He hopes all thespians gain an appreciation for teamwork and hopes they enjoy theatre for a lifetime.

Levi Roosevelt, 10, has always been interested in theatre and helps in the sound booth. He wants to continue theatre. He loves laughing with Kendall and Jeff in the light booth and watching Colby sing the Blue Bird song. He appreciates all the hard work and would like to thank Jeff Varner for showing him the sound board ropes and the directors for selecting him to the crew.

  • Katelyn Hageman head shot

    Katelyn Hageman

    Stage Manager

Katelyn Hageman, 12, 3rd year stage manager, has been on crew for Bye Bye Birdie (2011) Scheme of the Driftless Shifter/ Summer for the Indians; Honk! (2012), The Foreigner; Little Shop of Horrors (2013), & Dearly Departed (2014). After moving to Towanda, her parents took her to Guys and Dolls (2008) and she was curious to know what went on when the stage was black. She feels the hardest part is planning everything backstage so that the actors look their best but the adrenaline rush of moving set in mere seconds is thrilling. “On opening night when I open the curtain, I am overwhelmed with joy because the audience is in for a treat.” She said everyone has something to bring to the theatre and encourages students to get involved. Katelyn will continue theatre in college; she does not want to give up the environment. Her most memorable moment was during the Little Shop finale when she was sliding the plant vines from the catwalk. One of them fell off the board and landed in the audience

  • Kendall Cerney head shot

    Kendall Cerney

    Set construction Lead, light Board

Kendall Cerney, 12, had a blast as Head of Construction and Light Operator for Dearly Departed (2014) and serves in the same roles this year. The hardest part for Kendall is managing the little time that he does have outside his work on the musical. He feels the hard work and time spent in the productions is worth it. He wants to continue theatre work and thanks Mrs. Porter and his parents.
