Note from the President
My two years as President of CTI comes to an end with the closing of this show. It has been memorable for me. I have gotten to relive some memories, performing in, Arsenic and Old Lace and playing the same role that I did 40 years earlier. Also, this show, Guys & Dolls. I played Benny Southstreet 42 years ago. Seeing people in my mind that have departed this plane of existence is a bittersweet experience. Seeing former members of CTI attending our shows is just plain sweet. Alas, it all comes to a close.
But with closure comes a new light, a new day, fresh ideas and more memories to make. I would like to congratulate the new members of the CTI board. They begin their experiences on July 1st. Having spoken with them, I foresee some very good changes coming to CTI and some of the older, more successful policies and practices coming back into play. Once I retire at the end of next year and move back here, I plan to spend a lot more time working with the theatre, than I have since my job took me half a state away.
All in all, the board strives to make this theatre successful, joyful to be a part of and a place to make new friends. I highly recommend it. Won’t you come be a member and a part of Independence’ live arts venue?
In my departure from the board, I ask you to welcome Aaron Wilson to the position of CTI President. I know that he will be successful in taking care of CTI and ensuring what is best for the company. Come lend a hand and give him your support as we all pull together in bringing Independence the finest live theatrical performances in town.
All the best, always,

Jack L. McCord
President
City Theatre of Independence Inc.
